At the Birch Hotel we recognise we have an obligation and it is our policy to carry out all reasonable, practical measures to improve our environmental performance.

We seperate from other waste Cardboard and Paper and send it for recycling.

Low Energy Bulbs are fitted where ever possible.

A Bed Linen and Towel Policy is in place, giving guests a choice as to frequency of change.

Televisions are switched off and not left on in Stand By Mode.

When new equipment is purchased we will endevour to purchase only A rated appliances.

Heating is controlled by individual thermostats and internal and external tempurature sensors.

Staff are given individual responsibilities and training for environmental conciousness.

When undertaking building works better insulation has featured in the refubishment plans.

Printing and general paper products when possible - recycled paper is used.
